The Cleave Racing Stables team is a close knit family with a love for horses and a passion for Harness Racing.  Steve's love for harness racing is entwined with a competitive spirit. He has worked for some of the most respected names in the Harness Racing Industry.  His desire was kindled and cultivated at a young age following in the footsteps of fellow horseman and uncle, Ron Campbell.

Steve met the Ward family over 15 years ago after the tragic loss of his parents.  Ken & Pat Ward have been involved in Harness Racing for more than 40 years - Breeding, Training & Racing. With daughers Carissa & Hailey coming through the ranks of the local Pony Club their passion for horses has never waivered.  What began as a pipe dream, to set up a property, train professionally and do this as a team, is now a reality.

Nestled in the foothills of the Macedon Ranges, Steve, Ken, Pat, Carissa & Stuart, are now living their dream on the most picturesque 70 acres in the area.  Hailey and her husband Adrian live in the nearby township of Romsey.
